Flowers!

Thank you for the lovely flowers!

Not only do I get to work with the Forum, which is great, but I have a wonderful team of faculty and students to work with me, and then afterward they send me flowers!

How good does it get?

Dr. Diss made some photos of the 2006 Forum, and I will post some of those on Monday or Tuesday.

It was great to see Dr. Bob Raines and hear him "say a few words" at the Forum, which from now on will be The B. G. Raines Education Forum in his honor. For those of you who may still have comments to contribute, stories about Dr. Raines and messages to him can be posted using the link on the Forum web page.

Also, thank you to Mary Abouzeid, our keynote speaker, and to Michele Dahlquist and Diana Duckworth, our teacher roundtable presenters, for ideas and inspiration! Michele was in touch today regarding a hand-out that ran short, and she is sending me copies for those of you who did not get them.

And once again, thanks to food services at Emory & Henry for all the food that tasted as good as it looked, to the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center for the use of their conference center, and to our Virginia Region 7 school districts for their financial support and attendance at the Forum.
